The Advocacy Work Group keeps NYSDEN members informed about advocacy efforts across the state; develops advocacy assets; and designs NYSDEN’s statewide advocacy strategy and campaign. It advises NYSDEN on language and approach to digital equity issues at the state and local levels. The Work Group identifies local and regional advocacy efforts NYSDEN should consider supporting. The Advocacy Work Group leads planning for NYSDEN’s annual Advocacy Day.
Convening

The Convening Work Group designs and executes NYSDEN convenings, including the annual statewide Digital Equity Conference (our highest-priority event). The Work Group also develops networking opportunities for members and stakeholders.

The Program Work Group strategizes and leads the execution of NYSDEN initiatives. It supports the Program Manager in planning monthly member meetings and leads the design of NYSDEN’s quarterly newsletter.
